Kevin, What is your opinion on the coatings, ceramics or other, that are supposed to limit the transfer of heat? I have seen ads and articles in Circle Track magazine about this procedure. Would it have applications in two stroke motorcycle engines? The pictures I have seen show it applied to the top of the piston and to the combustion chamber area.
Porsche uses it in the exhaust port of the 911 flat six air cooled motor. I have also seen a bulletin about it cracking and how big a crack was acceptable.
