The denizens of the gbody and monte lists assured me that an F-body (Camaro) front sway bar would bolt right up. I acquired a hollow 34mm bar from a WS-6 Trans Am. It just barely cleared the frame, but it did fit, and it was only $30. So then I tried to bolt it on.

Of course, the stock 24mm Malibu bushings wouldn't work, and they're apparently oddball. I was unable to locate any sway bar bushings or brackets locally with the right size hole and spacing, and shipping and handling equalled the price of new bushings. There was some acrimony on the lists, with various people who swore they used the stock F-body bushings and everything lined right up. But the ones I had were almost half an inch too wide for the bolts to line up!

So I eventually decided to modify the F-body bushings to work on the G-body Malibu...

Slots milled to move the holes closer to the bar.

Deburred, wire wheeled, and ready to weld.

The first washer is ground to a D shape and welded to the bracket.

After welding a washer on one side, I bolted the new and old brackets together to positively locate the washer for the new bracket, then welded the washer in place.

Paint!

I used my Dremel tool to cut some X-shaped grooves inside the F-body's rubber bushings, which were actually more like pieces of car tire than "rubber", since they were rubber in a fiber matrix. Then I drilled and tapped the brackets 1/4-28 and screwed grease fittings in. You don't need grease fittings for rubber bushings, but if I ever change to polyurethane, they'll be very handy.
The 34mm front bar was almost too stiff, even with the rubber bushings and end links! I was very happy.
